What is Anti-Death Penalty Asia Network (ADPAN)?

The Anti-death Penalty Asia Network (ADPAN) is an independent informal network committed to working for the abolition of the Death Penalty within the Asia Pacific Region. The network is not linked to any political party or religion and is independent of all governments. 37 members include NGOs, lawyers, parliamentarians and activists from 21 countries:
Australia, Hong Kong, Fiji, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, UK, USA.

ADPAN is an independent informal network with over 34 members made up of individuals and organizations mainly from the Asia-Pacific Region. Members are committed to working for the abolition of the Death Penalty within the Asia Pacific Region. The network is not linked to any political party or religion and is independent of all governments. Members include lawyers, parliamentarians and activists from 21 countries:

ADPAN is an informal network of individuals and organizations and its work is coordinated by Amnesty International. Membership of ADPAN involves commitment to the abolition of the death penalty in the Asia Pacific region and involves:
- participating and campaigning in actions aimed at the abolition of the death penalty in specific countries from the Asia Pacific region,
- sending appeals for the commutation of death sentences,
- publicising relevant information through the organizing of events, linking with your own organization’s websites etc.
- sharing relevant information amongst ADPAN members
- participating in meetings where possible.
